What would we do about what at this point? Personally, I'd probably have a beer.

EBP tube and sensor already look new. So does the bolt and inner part of the idler pulley, but the outside of the idler pulley does not, so that may be something to consider replacing since there was just a belt failure.

Might be a good idea to give the screw on the steering gear box a 1/4 turn or so if the steering is a little sloppy.

I would get an Electric Fan Unit for it and be done. A little more then the replacement parts, or about the same, good investment and a gain in performance, drivability, and reduced engine loading.

Replace the rest of that crap when it goes....

Good catch the EBPS and tube have been on there 1000 mi. The belt tensoner about 200 mi. I bought a new fan and water pump pulley and degas bottle waiting on pulley to arrive to put all together.

Blow air forward through the rad/intercooler/condenser to try and debug it.

They did a great job! I am not a fan of the air chisel approach either. Once I was broke down in Vermont and I had access to a torch and some rusty 1/8" so I cut out a fan nut removal tool and a pulley holding tool for my old 6.9 IDI. Used a file to make the fan nut tool fit the nut tightly. Not purty but it did the job!

Now I just use these Harbor Freight tools for my 7.3
