Any reported shut downs after having the latest program flash?

Curiosity is getting to me. Has anyone heard of an EGT Shutdown on any 6.7PSD after having had this latest reprogram update installed?

I too am curious about this as well. I am one that was stranded by the failed EGT. I do carry the spare but would like to know if Ford stepped up.

Since they were not included in the recall/technical service campaign I would assume so. But we all knows what happens when you assume.

I have not been notified of any recall on my 2015 as of today. I'm sure we will not be included in the current one y'all are talking about. If there is one in the works it prob needs to be different due to the engine revisions/power level change.

^^^ Same Here...

I thought that not all 2014's were included in the recall but maybe that was some one speculating...

I'm going to bring this one top side one more time for visibility purposes.

I sure hope this latest update is the end of the EGT shut down fiasco.

Or maybe it just has to do with my finally picking up a couple of sensors, crowfoot wrench head, extra 3/8" torque wrench and hi temp gloves as a precautionary need.

The 2015's evidently have different programming and I believe a 5th sensor located right over the rear axle.. Here's a shot of mine:

Randy, it has been reported that the extra sensor is a particulate sensor to test the efficiency of the DPF at removing soot. It was added with the 2015 MY.

Great another sensor to fail... This time a message "Exhaust too Sooty" will come up on the dash. Shut down in 60.59.58.....

I must have missed your point Doug - were you concurring with my post and adding the function of the fifth sensor?

---

Dakster - there won't be a car, truck, motorcycle or even lawn tool on the planet that will be free from the potential sensor failure and shut-down by the time the tree huggers get done with us..
