NADA is a good starting point

Clean retain is $6,600 And I would say that is right in the ball park

Here, blue book prices are generally too high. I think truck prices are very much a regional thing. I would keep an eye on your local CL (and, maybe state-wide, too) and see what they are going for near you.

Maybe report back with what you find.

Is the body and frame rot free? That changes the price a lot.

Use Edmunds, KBB/NADA are gear favorably towards loaning institutions, if you have good credit they will let you get upside down.

A southern rust free and good condition truck will sell in MD for over $15k. There is a dealer in Shenandoah valley that sells only OBS diesel trucks that are in excellent condition. Not a single on is under $20k and can't keep them on his lot.

Around here, private sale would probably bring $7-9k if it has no needs, dealers would ask $10k (and take $7-9k). It's getting harder to find truly rust-free examples, even out here with no road salt and little humidity, especially over the rear arches and the bottom of the SuperCab.

In my area I'd price it at 6.5k and take anything over 5.5k

Friend got his 97 In -=Mint condition=- with 60K miles for 7900 in MA this year. All depends who wants it really.. He lifted his gave it bigger rubber stacks and programed it I offered 10.5K He declined with a giggle. Not many people touch trucks with 250 on the clock out here...

I find it hard to believe ANYTHING is mint condition in MA with the salt used

And if it truly was mint, then he got a SMOKING deal
