havent pulled the trigger yet but sask now has collector plates. going to get one done the same as the vintage '73 plate i have on the front. technically illegal to have on there but at the same time not. so that will make it all legal. got the papers filled out.. just 200 and some bucks to do it..

Yea. Here in Georgia they're easy to do. Go buy a year of manufacture tag from the swap meet and take it to the tag office. They put it on file but also give you a new tag to keep in the vehicle somewhere so you can put the antique one on. My parents run an original tag on the 2 model Ts and on an A.
Year of manufacture plates are great until you get pulled over. They are just not worth the hassle for me. I used to have them on a 1961 Continental, until I got stopped by a very hostile cop that didn't know about these plates, he treated me like a criminal. It was nowhere near as bad as what happened to this poor man. I hope he is a rich man when he wins his lawsuit!
I have Ford light bulb (better idea) plate covering the regular front tag. Complying with the letter of the law is a matter of removing and replacing two screws.
