Ok so now that I've got my over heating problem fixed its time to move onto the next problem.
The problem I'm having I think is either fuel or boost. Truck starts and idols great. Revs up perfect. When I'm trying to build up speed the truck will build power untill about 2000 rpm then it just kinda stays there untill I back off it and feather it to go higher. When it does this I only see about 6 pounds of boost. I've only seen the truck reach 11 pounds of boost. I changed the oil and the problem went away for about a day then came back.I've changed the cops, new oil and filters. Fuel filters (has e fuel conversion). It's got a fuel regulator that I be live I have turned all the way up to allow more fuel. It's not having any codes come up.
Mods are, straight pipe, down pipe, cai,e fuel, wicked wheel, and maby stage one injectors.
From what I'm reading I should have around 20 pounds of boost, this truck feels like it wants to have and more lol. I bought it to pull but I don't dare untill I get this figured out.
I'm trying to get my hands on a gauge. Is that 65 psi idiling or thru out the power rang or just period. The regulator only took one more turn untill it was maxed out. I was told to turn it in clock wise. I thought it would be the counter clock wise ( out) to turn it up. Is 11 pounds of boost normal or should I be seeing higher?
You should be seeing higher boost. First check the fuel pressure. With e-fuel you should be able to have constant fuel pressure all the time.
Check the ICP sensor for oil in the plug. Try running it with this sensor unplugged.
Check the MAP line to make sure its clear. Try running it with the map sensor unplugged.
I've unplugged the map and it seems to run a little better but not much. Is the icp on top or back of the hpop? And were do I put my gauge to test for fuel pressure? I'm also going to go over all my pipes and boots and clamps again to see if there loose. Could this be a cps issue?
Ok I pulled the connector off my icp and it has oil in it, does that mean it's bad.and on my ipr the wires going to it one of them kinda has the coating off it but it's not broken.
If ICP has oil in it then it should be replaced. Is that your issue? You will find out after its replaced. Some actually go bad, some leak before failing.the oil is a warning to get it replaced.
Can you post a pic of your regulator?
Ok I'll pick one up. It ran the same with it UN plugged or plugged in. I don't see an attachment button. I'm just on my phone, I don't have a computer. All that I can tell Ya is that it's red and has three hose fittings and one little hose fitting with nothing on it. The adjuster screw is on top, I think it's an aeromotive.
There's nothing on the back. Is there suppost to be a vacuum line on that or just open? Also if I'm out running it around. I'll stop and feel the regulator and it's super hot, I do sent think it would be that hot with fuel going through it.
