There is a plug above the oil filter you can tap into.
I did some pressure tests a while back, before and after installing a bypass filter system.
I got 20-30psi at idle and 52psi at speed.

I took my pressure tap from the 1/8" pipe plug in the left rear corner of the block. It reads the pressure after the filter and what is going to the rods and mains.

OK, so there seems to be a lot of confusing information on this thread. I have an 02 F350 7.3L and today while troubleshooting other issues, I hooked up a Snap-on scanner and it was showing 4.9psi on a warm engine at idle. Why the variation where some are saying they are seeing 50+psi? Is it where the information is being gathered from?

The lube oil pressure isn't available in the data stream. There is no pressure transducer for it on the engine, so whatever the scanner was reading wasn't your lube oil pressure.

Yeah, what he said. If your oil pressure is something you would like to keep an I on, you need to install an after market gauge.
