Question about engine swap

Will a 4.2 v-6 bolt up to the transmission in a truck that had a 4.6 v-8? This is a 4wd automatic.

you would have to change just about everything else as well....ECM, mounts, etc......................... Better off to find a 4.6.....If your truck has the winsdor 4.6, the romeo 4.6 wont fit either.

No, it will not bolt to the transmission. And as pointed out all the wiring and the computer are different, too.
