Took it out for her maiden voyage. All I can say is Huge Difference! Had a few minor things to wrap up this morning, finish tightening the brackets and clamps on the exhaust, top off the oil, couple little minor things inside the cab. Was finally able to get her out on the road.
Ran the chip through all the programs. Seemed to function appropriately through them all. I have to say, my favorite is the Hot setting. Those new injectors, intake, and exhaust really come alive. Unfortunate for me, that's not going to be a frequently used setting, at least for a while. EGT's climb way too fast and way too high. It was fun though. I wish there was a way to tweak the programs, would be nice to see what else is available.
Any way. Just cruising down the highway, EGTs ran between 700-900, depending on how I was driving. I honestly don't remember which setting I had it in.
I'm going to drive it a little while this evening to let it get hot, then drain the radiator again. I will do this for a couple of days just to ensure everything is flushed.
It is a completely different truck now. And I love it.
Just FYI: the chip settings are
1) High Idle
2) Stock
3) Standard
4) Highway (Economy)
5) Tow
6) HOT

I will update my signature and pictures as soon as I have a chance.

Thanks again for all the help.

Sounds great! Out of curiosity where'd you put your pyrometer?

I installed the pyrometer in the driver side exhaust manifold.

Sweet deal! I'm glad it's working like it should for you. I suppose an IC will be next eh?

Did you end up doing the Cascade trick then or are you just gonna flush it out several times?

I did use the cascade trick. It seemed to work pretty good. When I drained it afterwards, you wouldn't believe how nasty it was. Gonna run it a few days and flush it a couple more times just to make sure.
And the No Start issue has resolved itself. Only took about 30 minutes of driving.

Sounds good. Is the TS chip just TS canned tunes or did you get Swamps tuning as well? Swamps has some good injectors and tuning. Main reason that we use Rosewood around here is because he supports this forum and he logs in from time to time to help some guys out on this forum. We've all gotten to speak with Jim a lot on here and thus a lot of people trust him to build their injectors. I use Rosewood, but I wouldn't hesitate to run Swamps in my truck. I will probably be running a set of 400/400s from them at some point.

I honestly don't know if they are TS Tunes or Swamps. They could be canned tunes for all I know.

Where did you get the chip from? If you got it from Swamps, it will have Swamps tuning on it.

I'm awful jealous! Sounds like you knocked out a huge amount of work quickly and did it right. I can't remember if you had the bus waterpump on your list, but if not it is a good mod to add. It lets you put a filter on the pump for the coolant and you can get the one that adds the SCAs as you go.
