cab roof running lights

Has anyone had any luck finding a good set of quality running lights that fit the cab roof on a 56 Ford F-100 thru F-600 Cab? I would like to get a smoked lens look with either regular or led bulbs. I looked at Recon but some reviews discouraged my due to leak problems after installation.

The last new green lens on earth.

Not yet, but they have nice rubber seals. Don't expect any leaks.

These will take up a lot of real estate on the cab roof.

Thanks Elmo, good options. Especially the one that says it will fit both flat and curved roofs. That sounds like a good seal application. Im still trying to find some with smoke lens so they do not stand out as much, but will book mark these. I also want to be able to change out the bulbs from the top without removing the headliner.

Not intended to be, but most everything else is. The tinted glass won't be correct either.

Im goint tinted rear on my rear cab window too mixer....no air in that one. LOL, F-250 Long bed, duallies and smoke stacks. Huge mirrors to see past the stacks mounted on the outside of the cab (not thru the middle of the floor). Sometimes a guy just has to do what he wants to do. I have two f-100 short boxes Im working on too. One is a hot rod and the other is pretty close to stock. They are all fun and they are all keepin me out of trouble.

I ran across some smoked ones when I was looking for some for my truck. I do not remember if they were on one of those sites or not. I will try to find them again and if so I will let you know. My 54 F 100 bed is toast with no fenders so I am thinking about a flat bed with stacks. Also thought about adding smoke. Sorta like the stunt planes use. You can have any color smoke that hits your fancy.

Most times the 56's only had 2 in the front on the corners, this rig I have has 5 but they don't all match. I like the corner ones best

The stock cab running lights on my '50 F6 look like this:

Here is a view stepped back a little:

And here is a frontal view:

I have three lights, not the DOT regulation five.

I think back in the 40's and 50's each state had their own DOT laws regarding clearance lights. Some required 3 lights, some two (at the corners) while some required 5 lights depending on size and weight of the truck.

Since then, I think the Fed DOT has unified the laws concerning clearance and running lights.
