I have a few pics of the finished project in my gallery. It took me about four months to complete. The scoop is functional, with a noticeable throttle response. It's a little louder, similar to adding a K&N FIPK on an EFI V8. I have more tech info at my superford.org gallery under "Secret Shaker Project"
It wasn't very easy to mount up everything, since the carburetor is mounted so far back. I looked at a few different designs for the Mustangs and worked it out on my own. I found that a grinder works better for cutting fiberglass than a saw or cutting wheel! I also had to use self-locking nuts to keep it all secured, and fabricated a few items, like the front-support bracket.
Sweet setup bro. Very impressive.
Was wondering if you could get a few more detailed photos of how you built that bracket for the shaker hood.
Also What are you using to seal the intake to the hood?
Might do something like that on one of my projecks.
I still have a few more pics to upload in the next few days that may help. The scoop has a rubber seal that fits up against the hood. The bracket for the front of the scoop and top plate is one of the things I had to make. It's basically a flat metal piece with a slot for adjustment that's bolted to the front accessory bracket. A piece of angle iron is bolted to my bracket and the bottom of the scoop plate.
