I Was installing a Brake Controller and before I started tapping the wires to install a 7 Wire Plug for a large trailer that I will be using to haul Motocross bikes I noticed that the left rear tail light didn't come on when the brake is depressed. The right lights up but not the left. On the Tioga, there are two wires for the rear lights, yellow for brake and turn signal and brown for just the lights. The left light works with the turn signal and with the lights on but does not work with the brake. That is leading me to believe it is something up front and not in the back since the turn signal works which means I have continuity through the yellow wire.
Yep, the blub has two elements, one is the standard lights and the other is the turn signal and the brake light. The second element lights when the turn signal is operated so it tells me it is good.
