Okay so I ran my excursion earlier this morning and it ran fine and what have you, and now 6 hours later I got to start it up and it sputters and dies. I start it again and it starts right up but then goes to sputter again and I hit the gas and it didn't respond, the RPM gauge was lingering just under 500 RPMs. I had to hold the gas pedal for about 15-20 seconds before the engine would rev up, it kept doing this till the engine finally warmed up and I drove it up and down my block with barely and throttle and with wide open throttle and it ran fine. With the engine warmed up it started with no problems. I have a 2000 5.4L V8 gas
I have a V-10 that just did the same thing yesterday. It dose not get a lot of run time right now so I was just going to run it around to keep it up. The temp was close to 24 Degrees out. It shimmied, shook, & died as well for the 1st min or two then all was well. I'm interested to see if you get an answer

Nothing yet sadly, does your V10 do it every time you start it up while the engine is cold? Mine just did it again but this time when I revved it, it sounded like it was almost misfiring but its not throwing a code
1st & only time so far BUT it did exactly what you described your V-10 - 2 did to the T
Yes! I found the problem! I didn't think it could be something so simple but my air intake system came off of the throttle body and it was letting to much air into the engine. I was playing with it with the engine running and I moved the air intake over the hole and it ran perfectly, I removed the air intake about halfway off the hole and the engine ran crappy and stalled out. Check your air intake it
