Help cam sensor
Diesel dan, I have a ficm sync on torque, or was this sarcastic
.I can get you it, also, still figuring, how to quote a post, and give reps, you get one from me.
Thanks all

Yes please post what you have for FICM Sync. What I wanted to ask you to try (but didn't) was create the FICM one and check it against your CAM Sync, while it was bad. I'd like to see it give a green light for FICM and Red for Cam to see that they are in fact different. Like I said before I've seen folks post it up but it is all the same except for the equation, which doesn't make any sense to me -- I'd expect a unique PID.The quote and rep thing is easy: look for the quote button on the bottom of the post you want to quote in a thread (versus just adding a reply) and in the upper right corner you'll see some symbols, one of them is for giving reps, you are rep'ing whoever's post you are on when you hit that.
PID: 2209cd
Long Name: Cam vs Crank Sync
Short Name: Sync
Minimum Value: 0.0
Maximum Value: 1.0
Scale Factor: x1
Unit Type: Sync
Equation: {A:1}
OBD Header: 7E0
The only difference I have seen in the folks that claim to have an FICM Sync gauge is the Equation is {A:0} (and of course they name it different. Maybe that is all it takes.
See if this helps you though...
Diesel dan,
Change your equation name to Ficm Sync, Fsync. note {A:1}
This is seeing sync from PCM to FICM
Then add a new pid as I have above, note {A:0}
This is seeing PCM to cam/crank
Rest is the same, works on my truck, just tested.
Working on equation for cam/crank in relation to FICM working as well.
Let me know how it works.

But which equation did you use? A:Zero or A:One
And from your PM I take it KOEO the FICM sync gauge is green (Sync is good) and Cam is red (engine not turning so No sync).
I'll test it later to see what I get... I still think I am missing something here logic-wise... If it is the same PID, but you change the name fields which do nothing, then you make the equation opposite...

I guess I'd expect it to say it has FICM sync KOEO, but then I'd expect it to go red once engine is started??
I'm hopeless....
