Hello all, I am new here to the forum. Will these two seats fit a 2005 Excursion in the second row. My goal is to replace the stock second row bench seat. To me these seats look more like stock front captains rather than stock second row captains but I am not certain. Thank you for any help you can give.
I have never seen two arm rest on a 1st or a 2nd row seat call B-n-R salvage yard I found a tan set their last week. But I will tell you that after I was going to buy the seat I though how will I fold down the seats so I can fill the truck with fishing stuff. The 80/20 seats that are in their now will fold flat so I going to but in a two 20 parts in just some thing I going to try
The two arm rests confuse me also.. I am hoping someone can reply that recognizes these seats. I would really like to use them. I am okay with the seats not folding down in the second row. Kids can enter the back through the middle.

Well they're definitely Ford seats... Can tell by the switches.
I'm thinking they're from a conversion van, I've seen a lot of them with dual armrests up front for long distance cruising comfort.
Those are strange. The drivers side seat has a block off where the tilt lever would be. And what's the round thing at the bottom of that side? Other than that and the two armrests obviously, they are exactly like my front seats color and all.
Ha I was going to reply and say that as well. Our old Ford econoline had dual arm rests up front. I didn't notice the arm rests but the seat backs look different than the f series/exc.
I would bet that's what they are out of. As mentioned they could probably be made to work but the factory second row chairs fold flat which is a feature I use very often.
My truck has captains chairs and I drove my truck with all three rows installed but flipped down to the body shop with a new hood, fender, front and rear moldings, header panel, grille, headlights, and a few other small pieces in the back and still had room for my ski poles and giant ski bag and my wife's luggage.
They look just like mine only with two armrests. Has me wondering if my doors would shut with a second armrest...hmm.....
Thanks! So I am wondering if these seats will work on the second row. If these are the same as yours minus the extra armrest, does it appear that they would bolt up in the second row? I would be interested in seeing the brackets under your seats. I am very eager to use these and make it work however if the install will require extreme mod then maybe not.
I would confirm myself but my uncle is not bringing the 05 excursion to me until next month, bought it from him. If major mods are needed maybe I can sell them and keep looking for factory second row buckets. These seats are in perfect condition..
I found a picture of some beat up factory second row buckets. Brackets look different not to mention the seats themselves. Might be a tough mod project.. anyone have any thoughts? Thanks again for any input, I appreciate it.
superduty front buckets will work in the middle. Ive seen it done on an ex i looked at. Was nice having full size seat in the middle. Not sure what all was done to bolt them up? maybe using the brackets from the original buckets
I plan to move my second row seats back about 3" this summer. Ford sure messed up with the second row seats in these things. They could have at least put sliders on them so they can be moved back if no one is in the third row.
