2005 super duty

I have a 2005 powersteoke and was wondering if a front end from a 2008-2010 would bolt right on. If anyone can shed some info I'd appreciate it.

Welcome to FTE.

The front frame of the 2008+ trucks was revised to allow for bigger radiators/more cooling capacity.

I know that someone on this forum adapted a 2008 front end to a 2005-2007 truck, but it wasn't a strictly bolt on project.

Stuart,
Are you talking about the place that installs the 08 front ends on the excursions or someone else?

No it wont just bolt right in. Its a project and in my opinion the 2003-07 is a better front end.

I think the 99-07 models are the best looking sd's too. I'm not a fan of the 08-current models at all.

I thought all 03 and 04 front ends were the same as 99-02?

He's wanting to put a 08 front end on a 99-07 truck. It's HARD to do you'll need the core support and everything it also involved welding tabs on the new finders that are higher then stock.

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...-frontend.html

This guy did one a few years ago but the pics don't show up in the thread anymore and he doesn't give much as far as a parts list or ease of modification. I know a company used to do conversions and sell them, but they haven't been on here in a while.
