Trying 180 out from there wouldnt be a bad idea. To check and see I the top dead center is of comp or of exhaust..stick your finger in the spark plug hole to seal it and as the piston comes up see if its building pressure
When you're lined up on what you think is tdc , check your timing marks on the harmonic balancer
