Battery keeps going dead
I have a 1966 ford f-100. It starts up and drives fine but after i let it sit for a day or two the battery goes dead. I know it isnt the alternator because the guage show the battery is charging. I replaced the voltage regulator. I checked the wires to see if there was a short anywhere but still couldnt find anything bad. What else could it be? What wires should i check for a short?

Turn the ignition off and disconnect the negative cable from the battery. Hook up a voltmeter or test lamp between the battery and negative cable. If voltage is present or the light glows, you have current draining the battery.
Now pull one fuse at a time until the light or voltage goes off. Now you can trace your short.

I had a problem at my firewall connections with my power drain. Look to see that you don't have any corrosion in the connections. A rifle bore cleaning brush does wonders. Also do you have a volt meter? You can do a key off voltage check on your wires to see if you have an accessory draining it. Just for another option.
