Bumper questions

I have been looking for an alternative to the bumpers for the 59. I am wondering if anybody has tried fitting a set of a 64 f100. The front looks like it is more fitting to the truck and rear looks like the way it forms in the rear would flow better. I hate to order a set and be screwed...so any options or comments welcomed.

I'm still without a rear bumper. Let us see what you come up with.

I have not tried fitting a front bumper from other years, as I like the shape of the contoured front bumper on the 1960 F100 and F250. The stock rear bumper on the flareside leaves me cold. I have thought about looking for a step bumper that would fit.

Heres a 70 f100 front bumper shortened 5.5" and made some brackets to get it 1/2" gap. It looks like I'm going to try a 70 c10 rear bumper obviously shortened..

62-64 Front bumper

I was told this is a 62-64 Front bumper I don't like it and don't want to modify it. Still looking.

That's the same bumper. Cut the mounting holes out and welded bracket from behind...

Did you have to trim the frame horns to get it tucked back?

The frame horns were cut flush prior to adding the bumper back on. I had some older style truck brackets laying around that really fit well in those cutouts. I'll get some pics when I ull it apart for plating.
