My check engine soon light came on so i used my micro tuner to check the code and it said p1406, checked the booklet and it says
diff pres feedback sens downstream hose off/plugged
Does anyone know what this means and if its a serious problem. can i fix it myself or would i have to take it to a shop. Havnt noticed any problems with running the truck. I have a tripp planned in the near future where i have to drive 600 miles so i need to know what to do about this.
DPFS sensor. Its on the intake. What truck/year/engine combo do you have? There are two (I believe) hoses that attach to it. If one of them is off or leaking that will set the code. Alternatively, it could be the sensor itself.
I have a 99 f150 with a 5.4L v8, sorry forgot to mention that, Since we are talking about the intake portion just a little more info about it I have an airaid intake a mass airflow sensor, bbk 75mm throttlebodie and a helix throttlebodie spacer. the throttlebodie section has been giving me a little problem latlely the top two bolts wont stay in the threads are stripped, not on the bolt but in the holes where the bolts go so i have them tightened as much as they will go and i have them taped there so that wont start to come out again, i also have the gasket taped so i dont get air leaking in, i have another thread on just that subject about what i should do about it, could there be any relation going on with that?
