I have a 1975 F-250 highboy im am currently restoring this truck and throwing some modern twists on it. I.E. disc brakes and proudly swapping and placing a 7.3 powerstroke in it. Right now my restoration and conversions have been stopped cause I need a box. If anyone can send me the right direction to find one that would be great. I have looked on LMC and they sell all the parts but im not talented at welding so im trying to find a decent one that may need some minor repairs please help
In the middle of the rust belt (Iowa)... good luck finding a real good one. No better luck in Mo. LMC would be beer can thick anyway, and not worth the $ or effort to put together.
You might have better luck finding a complete parts truck on the Craigslist? Maybe one with a blown motor, trans or a NO title parts rig and just use the bed and what ever else you need.
You have a in cab gas tank right? So be aware when you go shopping for a bed, unless you locate another HB you can a bed with a exposed filler neck cap or a 77.5 to 79 gas flap filler neck. To bad you can not transfer that tank, because your frame is more narrow.
And that also means you will have to drill different mount holes in the newer year bed cause the HB has a more narrow rear frame section.
yeah being in iowa makes it difficult i have searched for trucks in the area and have no luck im willing to travel if i have to just need a decent box but I will check out this rust free classics guy.
