Mazda on a Ford Scope?

My '98 B-3000 has the Ford 3.0 and automatic. My mechanic has a scope that covers Fords but not Mazda's. I’d like to have him put it on his scope, if possible. I understand entering a Ford VIN instead might allow that. Anybody know which numbers and/or letters to change and to what or another way to fool the scope into thinking it’s an equivalent Ford?

Hi pete,

This thread has a good description of what each digit means in the VIN of a Ford Ranger. It might help you figure out a few things: Deciphering Ranger VINs.
