hi all my question is i bought a used 97 PSD it came out of a wrecked 97 that was in a front end crash.the right valve cover was crushed in a little, the top of the rearmost injector is broken,i have another complete PSD engine in my shop that has a bad piston can i use an injector out of that engine or do i have to replace them all?thank you for any input.
If both engines have the same coded injectors one can be changed to the other. Federal engines have AA coded injectors, While California engines have AB coded injectors. The code is on the top of the injector.
i dont know injectors that well, but wouldnt it still have to be the same type of injector? like if the solenoid is the part that tells it how to spray the fuel then it would be a problem..just a thought
The solenoid doesn't tell it how the spray. The pcm does. The solenoid just makes it open and close. You can use any solenoid form any 94.5-03 heui injector they are the same.
