2013 Navigator Key Questions
Hi,
I have been down this road before with my Expedition. It happened again. Last time I paid the dealer $200 for a key/FOB.
Now, I purchased a 2013 Navigator the other day and it came with 1 key w/fob and 1 standard key (no fob). The standard looks like an authentic Lincoln key without the FOB and will unlock the door, but it sets off the alarm. I am not sure if this key can be programmed to match the car at all.
Question #1 - Can the key (w/o FOB) be programmed to unlock and start car without setting off the alarm?
Question #2 - What type of key/FOB combo do I need to look for? I have seen 80 bit keys on ebay that look similar. I know that since only one is programmed, I will be visiting the dealer again real soon for the programming.
