Master cyl Questions

ok so my buddy bought a 75 f100 the other day and he just bought a brake booster for it but he didn't get one with a mster cyl( he thought he had mc laying around) and i have a mc that is new but has the rod already in it, so can i take the rod out of it and can he use it for his brake booster?

Maybe/probably but rods can be a bear to get out. Can he simply return the booster and get a booster/master combo? May be easier and he will get a "matched set".

yeah thats what i told him after a cracked my master cyl in a vise trying to get the rod out
