4X4 Question
Yesterday when I was taking some firewood to the front porch I was in snow. I was in 4 wheel drive. When I pulled on to the dry street I put the transfer case in 2 wheel drive. I left the hubs locked in. Then I pulled forward and turned left. At this time the truck lurched a couple of times, then the engine died. I unlocked the hubs and the truck started and seems to drive OK now.
My question is did I cut the wheels too hard while the hubs were locked? I have never had this happen. As the truck is automatic, I can't see why the engine stalled.

It sounds like the transfer case didn't disengage when you switched it to 2wd. You can turn the truck as hard as you want with the hubs locked, you have a differential and that's what it's there for.
