01 Expedition Abs module problem.

I have an 01 Expedition 5.4L 4x4 tonight I go out and start it and the abs light is on. Drive down the street to the store with no problem. turn the truck off and hear a sound like the fan still running. Pop the hood and its coming from the driver side above the wheel. Drive it back home turn it off and still the same problem. I got it to stop by pulling the fuse to the "four wheel antilock brake module" Can anyone tell me what I need to do? really don't want to replace the module as they are not cheap. Are there any other things it could be?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I think you're on the right track in thinking the ABS module is shot. Get the numbers off it and try eBay or Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market for a match, if you don't mind used and saving a lot of money.

Either leave the fuse out and do without the ABS system or replace the ABS control module. Those are your only real options.
