Hi everyone, new here and I'm having a mind blowing experience with my 91 ranger 3.0. First a small list of parts I've replaced in the last 4 months.
Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel pump, filter, fpr, alternator, water pump, coolent temp sensors, idler pulley, all 4 brakes, shocks, pilot bushings.
Here is my problem. I have spark, I have good, even within 2 pounds of 125 psi, compression, engine is getting fuel, plugs are all wet. And there is nothing blocking my intake. I've cleaned the IAC valve, and even added new plugs again. I have pulse at all injecters, and plenty of cranking power. Pulled the distributor apart and checked power there. Even cleaned it up on the inside of any surface rust on any metal parts. I am absolutely stumped. I have all 5 of the cruitial things a motor needs. Spark, air, fuel, compression, and the timing seems to be dead on. Ran fine up until I parked it 3 weeks ago. Has no codes whatsoever. Came out the other night and tried to start it up, wouldn't go. How does it go from running perfect to crap in 3 weeks? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
Just had it at my local mechanic shop, he said it is at spec. 50psi. It shoots out of the valve and hits the hood lol poor description with out a gauge, but checking it before is what led me to change the pump. Barely trickled out turning the key on before
does it have a security system? been seeing here lately no start having to do with the security system acting up...............
This is another good thing to check for. Many aftermarket systems will have certain cut offs to prevent the Vehicle from starting. Its usually a starter interrupt but it doesn't hurt to check.
