I have a 73 f100 with a bent/ dented front bumper, so what year replacement will work? I know 67-79 will bolt on but with cosemtic diferences, will another year work like 80-86 or 87-91 or older
A 73 to 79 will work for sure (I am not a 60's kinda truck guy, so not idea on the 67-72).
But a 73 to mid 77 (no slit for the license plate) will work the best. As far as newer truck bumper... with a torch and a welder anything can be made to fit. lol
But to follow the curvature of the bumper and the fenders trying to stay with a 6th generation Ford truck will work the best.
You must have a place to get free 80-91 truck parts with all your ideas and questions. Its all good, just yanking your chain. lol
Lot in my area for cheap, but not to many 73-79's least that are bad enough to make part trucks out of. my dad once used my 2wd truck to pull someone out of the mud and bent the bumper badly.
On the other hand I wouldn't mind getting rid of it because the body is real bad, and buy an 80-86 but doing a 390FE swap would be hard

Cosmetically, some Econolines have identical bumpers but mounting holes will need to be drilled (and filed square)... that's what I did on my 73 because 99.9 percent of salvage yard Dentsides already had tweaked front bumpers.
