Ok so I have read the manual but didn't find anything on this and I also googled it but no luck (never been the best at googling specific things.
Anyways we have a 2010 F150 4x4 5.4L Super Crew Lariat. We were wondering how you change the name on the Bluetooth.
Right now it says Chuck's Phone which would be alright if we were named Chuck but my mom, dad's, and my name are way from Chuck. LOL
Kinda cool to know the name of the PO though.
Trav
BTW: if anybody needs it the phone is a cheapie JIVI phone not sure of model as it is dad's (ya it has Bluetooth capability). That is what we are going to use right now till we get a newer updated smart (or dumb whichever you call it HAHA) phone that mom wants (My personal phone doesn't have Bluetooth capability).

EDIT: Just found out MFT is My ford touch. I am pretty sure you are right I don't have that but I may be wrong (only had the truck a few weeks).
If the name is still coming up as Chuck after re-pairing the phone, check the Bluetooth settings in the phone. SYNC pulls that data directly from the phone's settings. In case you need the instructions on how to pair the phone again, here they are:
First off thanks Rebecca so far liking it even though it is taking a while to get use to the luxuries.
Second I don't have a touch screen the only screen I have are these and they aren't touchscreens to my knowledge:
These aren't my personal pics just ones off google but it is exactly like mine.
Maybe their is a way to reset the older style SYNC?
If their is should I wait till before or after the dealership fixes the back up camera?
Also as far as I know their is no way to change the names on the one plus the phone was brand new and programed in my dad's name as far as I know.
Thanks,
Trav
Ok so that worked and now it says my dad's name and his phone.
However he presses on his phone "Allow Sync to activate hands free" yes to it and it goes through but when he tries to call or I try to call him it does nothing but have his phone ring.
Also it acts like it drops off his phone. He had to hook it up 2 or 3 times.
Am I doing something wrong or is this an issue with Sync?
This Bluetooth stuff is foreign to me so any help is appreciated.

Yay! See ya later, Chuck!
Now, on to the next question. A setting within the phone may need to be adjusted. When the hands-free message appeared on the phone, did it give you the option to choose between ALWAYS or JUST ONCE (or something similar)? If so, make sure ALWAYS was/is selected.
Since we haven't tested any Jivi phones yet, I am unable to confirm how the current phone will function with SYNC. You mentioned that your mom may be in the market for a new phone soon, so I wanted to provide a link to our compatibility chart: How Does Your Phone & Service Wortk With Sync | SYNC Help | Official Ford Owner Site This may be helpful while you're deciding.
No message like that ever showed up. It just asks allow sync to connect yes or no and that's it.
It looks by your list you don't cover Cellular one is this true?
Yes mom is in the market for a phone but it would be through Cellular one or Straight Talk which neither is show on your list in the link above.

If you're able to remove the battery on the phone, take it out and replace it. Power the phone back up and see if this helps. Soft resetting the phone is recommended every week or so to keep the Bluetooth connection optimal.
The compatibility chart is constantly being updated with new information so be sure to check back in the future. If you see the same phone model tested through a different carrier, there is a good chance that it will at least be able to connect for basic phone calls.
