I am about to buy a 30 passenger ford e550 bus for personal use. I don't intend to have more than 14 passengers at a time. For me its an RV. Do I need a CDL License/DOT Registration?
it depends on your local state laws, but i would have to say most likely yes.
here in New Jersey you need a CDL with passenger endorsement. over 15 passengers including driver, or under 15 passengers including driver are the 2 bus classifications.
then there is a limo endorsement for over 8 but under 15 passenger including driver, a taxi endorsement, and lastly a chauffeur endorsement.
