Never messed with a SD. I'm speaking of F150 parts. Frame U-nuts come threaded, as shown. Had them on a couple 97-04 models,off/on w/no problem. That's why I used them on my '94. To each his own.

Figured they were. Not much rust here as we don't get much frozen precipitation/salt. I've had to put a pipe on a pull bar to loosen a couple because my IR impact wouldn't loosen them.
The problem with SuperDuty bolts is the clip brakes and then you are SOL because you can't even hold it with a wrench.
No. Look again at the picture. If the nut is stuck to the bolt such that the nut breaks free from the clip you only have to put a wrench on the nut and turn the bolt out from above. Do you not see that the bolts thread into a nut?

Are you using the proper Torx Plus driver? If you look closely, you can see that is an OTC TP-50 driver and has thicker edges than the typical T-50 driver.
