They probably aren't original to your truck. These are designed for hub cap clips, which if Ford or Merc, would be from a much earlier vehicle. There are no "innie" or "outie" nubs like would have been a half ton Ford feature. Good of you to offer them for price of shipping. Somebody can use them. Stu
Just going on recall, away from the books, I think Mercs had clips with 5 x 5.5" pattern during the 1940s. Don't hold me to that, I'll look when I'm back home and can check it. Stu
Looking in the '53 K-H catalog, which is the last to show hub cap clip styles, my best guess is Cadillac. Merc, Lincoln, Jeep, and Cadillac, along with Ford, all used the 5 x 5.5" pattern. Unless you can find numbers stamped into the wheels, which I can look up, Cadillac is my best guess. Stu
From the picture it doesn't look like there us any evidence of hub cabs being on these rims. No apparent scratch marks. These may just be some kind of trailer tires.
Which is interesting.... I know these were on the truck & had caps! I was the first one to put rims on it... My dad had many different caps (including Cadillac) that he changed out often.
