Cab Swap
Here is the problem,i Have a 1988 f150 cab that is beyond salvaging,interior is mint though,i also have a 1982 cab in great condition,just wondering if the dash and interior will fit from the 88 into the 82

Cab Swap
The dash will fit, but the holes in the firewall are VASTLY different around the steering column. The '82 speedo cable goes out high, and the '88 goes thru the floor. The '82 wiring harness goes out a small round hole with a rubber grommet, and the '88 has a 2-piece connector at a LARGE round hole. The '82 has no EEC slot, so you'd have to make one like this. It's gonna be a LOT of work - I'd look for an '87-91 cab.
