Alright this is my f150 i litteraly just bought from my brother, its the xlt lariet, 302, with the "iconic" c6 auto trans.. i love the truck, for being nearly 30 years old it has a bit of power, and its in pretty dang good shape , BUT, i want a little more power, so im thinking of a Jegs performance computer, headers, throttle body spacer and a cold air system,,, cuz im really no mechanic and those seem like the best bet for me, so if anybody has any ideas on how i could add some easy power to the truck let me know, cuz i can care less about mpg, im just getting tired of all my buddys saying my 302's are junk and their 4,7's and 318s will outpull me, thanks,

What year is your truck? From your description, it sounds like you have EFI, which would mean either a 1985 or 1986 model.
Don't even bother with a "performance computer" or a throttle body spacer. And your truck already has a cold air system, assuming the stock air cleaner is still in place and the "cold air" snorkel is mounted to the driver's side radiator core support.
Long tube headers and dual exhaust with an H-pipe would certainly help, but your best bang for the buck is going to be a gear change. A lower (higher numerically) gear will GREATLY improve your low-end torque and pulling power. What gears do you have now? With a C6, you probably have a 3.08. You can check by looking at the metal tag bolted to the rear differential.
well in all honesty the truck i know has around 285 torques, but i at least want to get it to 300, ive been doing alot of thinking and i think i might go with the headers, straight pipe, bigger injectors, and see if i can mess with the timing just a little bit, and it has the EFI system its an 86, what i keep hearing on these trucks is if you can just get fuel in better and air out itll make a big difference, and it has the aod sadly,, all i really want is if i wanna slam on the gas , or go up a hill i wanna have a little more accel, and something to kinda push me back in the seat,,, I WAS thinking however to just say screw the 5.0 and put a 5.8 but thatll be alot of work for only 35 more torques, and this is a everyday driver so i have to do mods that will only take a weekened or a day to do, PS i know i said in the post it had the c6, but shortly after my brother told me it did, i found out that the c6 never had overdrive
