Lowering 1980 F100

Okay guys, I am wanting to lower my 1980 F100 using DJM dream beams. I know my truck is one of the awkward years. It has the smaller 5x4.5 bolt pattern and king pins. DJM nor anybody else that I have run across makes drop beams for the 80-82 king pin models. I wouldn't mind swaping to ball joints but I don't know what is needed and I don't want to loose my 5x4.5 bolt pattern. They advertise a king pin set of beams for a 79 f100. Could I use those or is it a completely different animal? I am open to suggestions and like to see and hear your opinions.

Thanks, John

You will have to swap to the proper beams like you thought. Just get everything, the beams, the brakes, the rotors, etc. Sorry, you are going to lose your wheel pattern. You could see if someone would re-drill the hubs and rotors for you, and I do know they make wheel adapters that might work, though it would set your wheels out about 1 inch on both sides. They make them for old Ford cars and trucks, a lot of them were 5 on 5.5 pattern, and people want to convert to the Ford (4 1/2) or chevy (4 3/4) pattern like you do.

Here's some. http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Billet...Lug,94213.html
