Curiosity question for the Dually owners here.
Has anyone had success or failure upsizing from stock tires?
Am driving 2015 F350 Dually Lariat/King Ranch/FX4, 14K GVW Max Tow package.
Am looking at going up in size from stock LT245/75R-17 to something slightly larger, LT265/70R-17. Intend to keep stock wheels.

I am running BFG 34*10.5/17. No clearance issues. No spacers.

As it sits right now. 45# unloaded.
.615". Give or take
When I tow I run 60#. I will measure next time I'm hooked up.
I have considered .500" spacer just to open it but have not had the need. I I/R temp the tires when I tow. No difference from either rear vs front.

My goodness, how did you tarp all those chips? Without a badge in my wallet, any LEO around here would send me walking home if I had an uncovered load like that.
Depending on design, some 1/2" spacers might do more harm than good... since there isn't enough room on the hub land for the (thicker) aluminum wheel and a spacer. The aluminum wheel would be forced outward to "float" over the non machined tapered part of the hub. Since our wheels are hub centric, not lug centric, the outer wheel may not center correctly with the inner wheel.

I've been interested in this also, without much luck. There is a 255/80R17 that both BFG and Cooper make. But they only offer it in their most aggressive mud terrain patterns. Not really what I'm after, would like more of and AT pattern.
Zoodads tires are a bit taller than I want, and they are only D rated. Not being E rated takes them off the list for me. To each his own.
I'm highly considering American Force 19.5's and the Toyo M920s all around, or M920 up front and M608Z on the back. I know Lawrence is running the M608Z up front but I'm kind of leery to run something that aggressive up front.

As far as D vs E. Yes but it is only a loss of 100# load capacity at each tire. That's what I was concerned with. Time will tell.
