Mac OS and Unix are no where near alike. Unix is far superior to it. Also the MAC OS is way more user friendly. Mac does have a few good things about it but nothing I need yto justify the additional cost.
In elementary school that's all we had was Macs, and all they knew how to do was freeze up and tell me I had done an illegal operation and it had to shut down.
I'm spending a lot (read: Way too much!) time on macs with my College Major....
Few times I've watched that video while I was in the middle of a mac/nervous breakdown......Kinda cheers me up.....
Linux is server type stuff, its not as easy to use as Windows. I am sure that Ace is referring to Windows NT, thats the only program that could be used in the same manner as linux. NT is very user friendly, you have to take courses to learn Linux. It's not a program anyone can just use, most internet service providers won't let you run server software either.
Holy cow, that was the funniest thing I have seen in a while. I used to have to edit the news program at school on one. it was a MAJOR pain. Media 100 would decide that it didnt like me cutting .5 seconds off a clip and then reprimand me by crashing. I had forgotten about all of those times.

Funny story: I had my 'nix box setup as an email/web server before hosting my company stuff.
Well anyway all was well when I had my email setup so that only people on my lan could send through it. That was fine for a while but I had some temp employees who I wanted to have there own email address@mycompany and they were all on dynamic ips ranging from cogeco cable, bell symp. , dial-up with various providers etc;
So I made my box and open connection, ie; anyone could send mail through my box.
Well the spammers loved it, I thougth nothing of them as they weren't bothering me none. (they dont use much bw) anyway cogeco (my cable isp) found this out and was sending me letters (emails to my @cogeco email) telling me to disable all my servers or else.
Well I couldn't reply. Why you ask? Because I never used my cogeco email...only used my company one (or my other one @mycompany that was more for personal stuff) anyway they decided (being the ingenious folks they are) to goto the webpage that was at the end of my @blah blah.etc and they found out it was my company site.
Needless to say I was without internet for a week till I got that sorted out and I was put on "probation" in other words they were monitoring me "very closely" lol.
