ignition wiring?

ignition wiring?
2007 F350 6.0L Diesel
My truck was stolen the other day, after I got it back, I had the Ignition cylinder replaced, I can start it with the remote start, put the key into the on position and drive. Turning the key off does kill the engine.
Everything seems fine by turning the key (dash lights come on, dinging, coil etc), but when you turn it to the start position, nothing.
Because it starts, it's not the starter or the relay. I took the cowling off the column to check for broken wires, everything appears fine. So what is between the key and the remote start module that would keep the engine from turning over by key?
