Alternator Idiot Light troubles
My 66 F100 Alternator idiot light doesn't seem to work. Shouldn't light be lit with the key on and the engine not running. I still get 14.3 volts idling at the battery. Any thoughts. Have a wiring schematic coming on Saturday.

After doing a quick visual inspection of the wires and connectors I would check the bulb. You can also check the circuit at the bulb socket. One wire will have voltage with the key on and the other wire will only have voltage when the engine is running.
