AutoNation ford is a ford dealer and i have purchased items from them and never had a problem. The list price for that hose is like 274 and they sell it for 180, just make sure the list price of your hose is 274, if you are in doubt give them a call to verify.

 

Open phone book. Look under HEAVY EQUIPMENT SALES for an AEROQUIP dealer. That should be a 40-60 dollar hose from them. Bring your old one so they can custom bend the hard bits.

 

Or visit a Deere or CAT dealer.

No CAT dealer here, not much of any heavy equipment stuff around. Cummins dealership but i doubt they'd do that stuff.

I did contact ford sales and verify my part, it is indeed listed as 275$ on fordparts.com and i just ordered it online from whitebear for 180 +shipping, tax, exchange etc. but still way cheaper than the 360$ my local ford wanted.

Hoping the part matches, but it does match the parts number 5C3Z-3A713-A on my ford parts receipt and the one linked to my VIN# so i shouldn't worry too much. I usually like seeing and matching the part instead of a diagram picture that's all.

Hopefully it's not -30 when the part comes in, still have to play in the snow bank to put the front end back together. No heated shop for me

 

You know to make sure that you getting the right part number
you can call then and talk to someone. They can then look up
the right part number by VIN.

I did contact ford sales and they gave me that part number for my VIN#, and i just punched that into whitebear ford for the cheaper price. Both items were the same price originally, just whitebear had it for 2/3s of the original price. Pretty sure i got the right one, and if not i suppose ill be here to complain and let people know what not to order should it happen to them
