I experienced none of the idle anomalies with the car on the VQAA7S2 calibrations although it's only a van PCM in the wrong vehicle - there may be something to that so don't take it as fact that there isn't anything wrong with the calibrations.

I also received an email back from Bill stating that there may be some other underlying issue with your vehicle simply due to the fact that the calibrations for that hex code have been rewritten recently and nothing differs from stock at idle fuel rates. We are both suspecting either a skewed ICP or EOT since fueling is based primarily by those. I would also look at maybe a low stall torque converter causing extra load at an idle. It makes no sense to me that it would ONLY happen in anything other than stock though so don't go throwing parts at it yet. Bill sent me his folder of Hydraflash VQAA7S2 calibrations to look them over. I will see if there's anything that stands out. Bill is the expert though - I am merely a student.

I'll turn on my PMs for the weekend. I have plans tonight and work in the morning so give me a few days. If you would like to give me your email address and Hydra serial number I will see if there's anything I can do for you to try out - and it will be the VQAA7S2 calibration so you can freely switch between the different source tuning. If they don't work, don't shoot the messenger. If they do, then that's good.
oh rad man I appreciate it will pm shortly.

I modified three calibrations and sent them. Let us all know how it goes.

Good deal!

Another cosideration is that the chip bypass (00) can ONLY be accessed by waiting for the display confirmation blink and then cycling the key off and restarting.

The chip will change FROM "00" to any calibration though while the engine is running.

Here is your video. As Cleatus said; you have to cycle the key to get 00 bypass...That's awesome though. I'm glad he was able to help you out

Bill said that he made the same changes I did to the last iteration of the calibrations you're using on 11/26 of last year and let you know (if we're talking about the same person) but never heard back so he assumed that the issue was resolved. When was the last time you erased all of the past positions on the Hydra and re-uploaded them?

EDIT:
I see your Hydraflash screenshot shows 12/25/22 as the "Programmed" date. Definitely erase those and reprogram the chip with the newer calibrations.

Loaded up the new tunes
certainly different.

On the 100 performance that i drive most
idle is fixed
throttle response off of no pedal is a little less aggressive. Say 0-5 or 10% then its actually more aggressive 15% and up as the rims come up seems to run better.

lots of traffic everyone going home right now.
I did see a 50mph converter lockup
and it does seem to keep it unlocked with some throttle kind of like I was wanting...

Concerned that the 50 Though could get me bogged down at altitude though.

Also was planning on downloading the old files from my hydra to save, but instead wrote these all over them oops..... hope I won't miss them.

I use the 80hp DD tune,
if I use an easy skinny pedal, the TQ will lock up at about 40 mph.

If I push harder, can't say exactly where it locks up, I just feel it when it does.
Too busy watching for folks pulling out of driveways hidden by tall weeds around here.

Vans and Excursions have VERY different shift points and torque converter clutch apply/release points. What yours does is not even remotely close to what a van does unless many, MANY changes are made to the calibration to mimic it.
