Used SCT SF3 programmer?
I came across a used SCT SF3 for sale. Screen shows that is unmarried and has 4 unlocks left. Should it come with canned tunes for a 01 V10?
Are the custom tunes that much better than canned tunes?
Would it be worth getting at $200 or would it be better to just get a new one with custom tunes(for a lot more $)?

While I am no means an expert on this, there are a couple of ways to look at this. If you spend the big bucks on a new one from 5 star or another outfit, they will hook you up with up to 5 custom tunes in addition to the canned tunes for the v-10. If you buy a used one, you can buy a custom tune for about $65-70. So if you want several different tunes to play with (performance, economy, towing) for numerous octane levels( 87,89,93) than I would buy a new one. If you are just going to run 87 octane and want a couple of extra tunes ( performance should be the canned tunes for each octane level) than you can pay the $65-70 and still be under what a new one would be.
