Sales guys are just barely worse than service advisors. There are a handful of good ones but most are essentially just customer-facing liaisons of the service and ford corporate people. They don't know and see so many different vehicles come through that they have to really care to keep up.
Ouch, the Mrs. and I both work on the sales floor...LOL but I do know more about the trucks than I do about the CMAX energy... LOL
As for a Bedliner I would get the LINEX premium one...$549 I think... they look great over the long haul don't fade... unless you are gonna tear up bed daily. then go with the standard.
Line X dealer near me throws the drop in liners away, I would check with a Line X dealer near you and see if they will give you a drop in liner for your truck for free!
The Line X guys says their junk, and people pull um out for the spray liner with the premium spray.
It seems like Line-X and Ameraguard are the favorites. I've seen both, both looked and see me d to function great. I ended up with Ameraguard in mine, as I got a friend discount from the local shop. Also take a look at the far less expensive and so far best DIY option Monstaliner.
