Did this happen all the sudden? (Some history would help.) Does the pedal have any resistance? Check the linkage and determine if the pedal is pulling on the clutch fork like it’s supposed to. If it is, it might just be out of adjustment - simple to adjust/tighten at the release rod. If not (and I’m not familiar with how the fork seats inside the bell-housing,) it could be a bent, broken or how it mounts.
Thanks for the quick reply. Back story is I just bought my first old truck. Love this thing! So I'm at the BMV getting the title changed over and plates. It's my wife's B-day and I'm taking her out for a lunch in our new family toy. We get in and I start it and it begins to move in reverse with the clutch in. So I brake and turn it off, get out and look under the truck. The wife works the clutch pedal. All the linkage is moving but the clutch is not engaging or dis engaging. I notice there is a plate that looks to need bolted to the transmission hanging from the linkage. The bolts sheard and hence, no clutch or B-day lunch. Sorry to blast a post out to the FTE but I thought I might be able to," Macgyver" a fix with some expert advise. So with a quick tow to my pals place and a few days I should be back in business! Thanks for the quick reponse.

OK - so it sounds like you know what the issue is! Maybe you're talking about item 8 on this page - the release bracket ?? This diagram might help. There's always another day for a b-day lunch!
