Well the X is due for shocks. considering going with Rancho RS9000`s. I ve run them before and really like how they rode. also nice to be able to adjust the ride. is anyone running them? how do you like them on the X, good and bad. My X still has stock springs and ride height.
Found a place called SD Truck Springs (no relation to Ford SD trucks). I can get a set of 4 for around $365 with free shipping. sound like a good deal?!
about 5 bucks less than amazon has them for. I am going to run those shocks with c mod rear and x code front springs. Should order it all this week if uncle Sam gives me back my money. Lol.
I think Rancho Does a Spring Promotion with a nice rebate if you can wait till Spring. I missed it last year and then slept through Shocktober, but I plan to get a set this year.
Just installed a set on my 2k Ex. Really like the way they ride. Have just left them on the stock setting but will experiment with them a bit after driving on them awhile.
My Ex had rears installed when I got it. Have nothing to compare it to. I really like the ease of adjustment between daily driver and camper hauler. I will get them again when the time comes.
I have them and like the adjustability, before installation take the adjuster ***** off and squirt a little white lithium grease into the port, keeps them easy to move.

Can you give a description of the difference they make while towing /not towing? And are you running stock suspension or if modified what type?
I just put on my second set of Bilsteins. Got 120K out of the first set. When I removed the old ones the Pside was a little weak and the Dside was gone. The rear were a little spongy when compared to new ones, however, I have Firestone Air Bags and Landyot Radius Rods on the rear so that saved them a little.
FYI - just installed Bilstein steering damper. SWEET!
I have the Rancho 9000s and they are ok, three out of four adjuster ***** froze up within the first month (during the summer, not cold) and now all four are. Was debating between these and Bilsteins and went Rancho because of a buy three get one free promo. Wish I would have spent the extra for the Bilsteins! Just my experience, Good luck!

The shocks have a manual adjustment **** so you can change the dampening. I set it on 5 for softer daily driving and all the way up (9) for firmer towing. Had stock 2wd suspension until yesterday, added Hellwig helper springs. I haven't messed with the shocks since adding helper springs.
