Hi guys, me again. I have a tick in engine since I bought it a few weeks ago. I've linked a YouTube video. I see exhaust comIng from driver side donut. I can't tell if it's a lifter or exhaust leak. If it's a lifter how hard is it to fix? Needs a new oil change too. Maybe not enough pressure? 243k on it right now. seemed to quiet up this morning after it warmed up but failed to after drive home about 17 miles.
Assuming it's just one cylinder leaking, that means it's not a leak at the ball & socket joint, you may be able to get away with a good quality exhaust manifold gasket. You won't know for sure until you get a good look at the manifold. They are known to crack after years of use.
Ok thanks Guys. Looks like it's not too bad, better than lifter. Hopefully change it soon. Btw. Which oil do you guys recommend? I'm in northern mn and it's just a daily driver all hwy
