So the guy across street from the street has a 78 single cab in his yard. I'm not about to buy it or anything. I already asked him if it was for sale and he said it's his sick dads truck but when his dad passes we can work out a deal. I didn't want to ask anymore about it because he's pretty wierd and I obviously didn't want to push the subject. But I still want to know more about it. I figured maybe you guys could help. I know it's a 78 because I saw the front when I was at another neighbors house. It's a 78 single cab and I'm pretty sure it's a longbed. Red with red matching wheels. Race track trim. White walls. Has a bumper with the thin black vertical gaurds in the front. The kind that comes on ranger or xlt trucks ( not sure about which model). Can anybody tell if this is just a ranger or is it a camper special or something? I live in the country so across the street means the truck is about 100 yds away. The only thing with enough magnification to see if it's a 150/250/350 is the scope on my deer rifle. And I'm not abou to do that. Can't see if it has the camper special bed becuase there's a dodge parked in the way. Anybody know anything? The place is a horse ranch so maybe the guy used to pull horse trailers,so maybe it is a 250/350. Pure speculation of course. I just want to know more about the truck.
Just grab a 6 pack and walk over there and start a conversation. Dont mention anything about buying it, but check it out.
X2 on pack a 6er over and just be nice about it.
5 luh niys F150, 8 lug nuts F250
Twin gas flaps long bed
Since he is you neighbor, weird or not, just be nice about it and let him know you are a "Ford Truck Enthusiasts" and just have a few model questions and would appreciate the help.
Most people like to help other people, its common human nature.
By wierd I mean I couldn't tell if he was a male or not. The back of "his" house faces mine. And there's about a 100yds of pasture between. So I'd have to drive around to the main road and ask about it then. And the fact that he specifically said that it is his sick dads probably means that he doesn't want to be asked about it. I drove by on the main road and looked today (warming my truck up to time it btw) and saw it had two gas caps, so long bed. It's pretty close to the house too, so midnight recon probably won't work to well. The dogs bark a lot anyway. In other news, saw a 79 single cab 350 parked in a field, don't know who to ask about that though. I sure could use a spare truck. Really though, I guess you guys can't really tell much with the info I have provided. I was just hoping yall could tell me it's a ultra rare 78 camper special or something.

Well then put on your spandex jogging shorts and walk over there with a smile and a lisp and ask him about his bed.(truck that is)
