Difference Between F350 Front Unit Bearing for SRW & DRW
Is there a difference between the front unit bearings for a F350 SRW & DRW besides the $180 additional cost for per side as far as safety or capacity or anything else I may be overlooking?
Some list the difference as to whether or not it is 4 wheel ABS or just 2 wheel rear ABS.
Thoughts...knowledge....
Thanks you guys.

If it's a DRW or SRW I can'r see there being any difference in the front hub 2 wheel or four wheel ABS or not.
Looking back on when I replaced my bearing assemblies, I wish i had known then that you can go to a serviceable bearing assembly made by Warner. Yeah it's a bit more money up front but at least the bearing is serviceable and you can forget about that stupid vacuum set up by Ford.

I did a quick look on rock auto. For Timken the DRW and SRW prices looked to be the same (I think I used 2002 F350 for the truck). I noticed 2 differences:
a) Roll Form (Y) one is Y and the other is N
Does anyone know what Roll Form (Y) is?
b)Wheel Stud Size (in): One has M14x1.5 studs and the other is M14x2

If you have front wheel ABS then you will need the front wheel ABS hub. If you don't have front wheel ABS and order the hub that does you can either just cut the wire or install the Riffraff ABS grease zerk like I did with my 2 wheel ABS.
As for the difference for the DRW or SRW hub (not sure) but doesn't the wheel sit further out from the hub so the so you can rotate the tires. Something with the backspacing I think is different.

I installed a pair of Timken 515025 Axle Bearing and Hub Assemblies on my 2001 F-350 Dually last year. They have gone up 5 bucks each since but still under $200.00 a side to your door with Amazon prime. I've only got about 2k miles but very happy with price and quality. They had ABS sensors and the correct wheel studs for the F-350 dually.

Is it Warner or Warn?
Warn hubs have had a good reputation with good service. You do have service them while there's nothing to be done with the unit bearings.
My understanding is that Warn sold there hub business to Randy's Ring and Pinion. If that's correct, I would do some research to ensure that Randy's is maintaining the quality and support that Warn had.
I'd rather replace a quality unit bearing every 5-10 years vs having to service the Warn style hubs once a year.
