Hey guys, I'm currently running a 5 Star 93 octane performance tune and I love it. However, I had read a bunch of positive things about both SSI and MPT, so I started researching. I emailed SSI a question, and Shawn Ellis called me to answer, and went on to answer all my other questions. He sent me a free tune to test out, and I love it as well. The shifting is as smooth as stock, but with no less performance than the 5 Star had. I also looked into MPT and saw the dyno results they had posted and was very impressed. Basically, my question is, which tuner should I go with? Has anyone tried all 3? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks in advance

 

I have used MPT and SSI (but not 5*). I prefer SSI as the shifting is incredibly better than MPT and the mid-range throttle is really crisp and quick. I don't race it at the track but from my experience the SSI works best for me. Sorry I cannot comment on 5*. Good news is its not too $$ to try several and see what suits you best. Service from Shawn is excellent too. He's super ready to help dial the tune in for your truck and your needs.
