Vinyl floor

Anyone else have the vinyl floor? I love how its easy to clean and meant for a truck. However are there any cons about it that any of you have encountered?

I won't own a truck with carpet. Never have and never will. Makes clean up a lot easier, looks newer longer, lasts longer and you don't have to worry about getting it dirty in bad weather.

I have one in my XL and love it. If there are any drawbacks I'm not aware of them.

I do like the look of nice new carpet but as previously stated, the vinyl is a better choice. I have it in my 06 Super Duty XLT, my 96 F150 and in my wife's 08 F150. For me I would take either carpet or rubber mat, but really prefer the rubber mat.

Vinyl floor in my XL is great, I did add fitted weather tech's to ease cleaning and protect the vinyl from wearing through, I've seen it quite a few times. The mats cover the area between the seat and door sill and do a great job holding dirt.

Vinyl floors FTW A little all purpose cleaner and a stiff brush is all it takes to clean them. Winter by me is a ton of salt on the roads, and therefore on my floors. Anyway, once you've got them clean, just wipe them down with a towel and be on your way.

Enjoy carpet with weather tech floor mats! I like a few upgrades. Vinyl floor trucks usually are bone stock unexciting!

I don't see the carpet as an upgrade at all. My Lariat has carpet and my XL has vinyl, vinyl is so much better. My XL is just an old fleet truck I bought cheap and it's still very nice inside.

I would take an xl over an "upgraded" truck any day. The upgrades might look pretty on the lot, but they don't last long once you actually use the truck. Especially the cheap plastichrome mirrors and grill. Just about all of them I see are bubbling up or peeling off.

I`m on my 6th new truck 89`-93`-97`-00`-03`- and 14` I know there was a big span between the last two. The first 5 were xlt larriat trim. The 14 is just xl. It is by far the fanciest truck of them all . I love the vinyl floors.

If you have kids or pets, that floor is a great option. Kid spilled hot chocolate 3rd day having the truck. No problem, no so with carpet.

I've heard people say that carpet is warmer in the winter, but what exactly are you doing on the floor of your truck?

By a seat-of-the-pants estimate, I think the vinyl floor in the F250 is thicker than the vinyl floor in my P71. Also, the vinyl is a slightly heavier option weight than carpet. Hopefully this means decent wear and tear, and insulation properties.

.

I find the hot air from the floor heater bounces off the smooth surface and heats the cab in no time.
